Hand-crafted original

With its subdued finish and restrained palette, the Emerald Lion Shield is well suited to hunting events or discreet field use, where vivid heraldic colours might give away the wearer’s presence. It retains the noble character of a period shield while presenting a quieter, more understated appearance.
Built from two-layer plywood, oiled for water resistance, and cold-pressed under load for 72 hours, this premium shield is shaped for strength while remaining light in the hand. The face is covered in real leather, adhered to the board, pressed with a lion device, then finished with gesso and hand-painted. The reverse is fitted with a strengthened double-leather grip, with one strap for the arm and a longer adjustable shoulder strap for carrying, while protective arm padding improves comfort in use. Every detail is executed without compromise for speed of production.
Emerald Lion Shield is the shield of the accomplished knight: not a seeker of spectacle, but a man of gravity, lineage, and command. Its subdued green field and restrained palette suit the noble hunter and the seasoned lord alike, recalling the forest roads and shadowed marches of late medieval Bavaria around 1300 AD.
The lion impressed into its leather face is not merely heraldry, but character made visible — sovereign, vigilant, and assured. It speaks of a knight whose courage no longer needs display, because it has already been tested. He rides not for applause, but for duty; not for glittering fame, but for the keeping of land, oath, and household.
Handcrafted in leather, shaped for strength, and finished with uncompromising care, the shield carries the noble severity of a true period piece. It is a work for those who understand that the highest form of chivalry is not splendour, but mastery held in reserve.
